Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera
A Spanish proficiency diploma issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. You take the exam at a specific level from A1 to C2, and it certifies your Spanish proficiency at the level you take the exam for.

SIELE
Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española
A digital Spanish proficiency exam that evaluates your Spanish through different language skills and provides a score based on your performance. You can take the SIELE Global exam or choose a modality focused on specific skills.

Is this different from regular Spanish lessons?

Exam preparation is designed around a specific goal: helping you prepare for a DELE or SIELE certification that can serve as proof of your Spanish proficiency for work, university applications, or other professional and academic purposes.
What is the difference between the DELE and SIELE exams?
Both DELE and SIELE are official ways to certify your Spanish level, but they work differently.
DELE is an official Spanish diploma issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education. You choose a specific level (A1–C2), and if you pass, you receive a diploma for that level. The DELE diploma does not expire.
SIELE is a Spanish proficiency certificate based on a score. It evaluates your Spanish skills and provides a result corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (A1–C1). The SIELE certificate is valid for five years.
