Who We Are
Spanish Learning Journey is an online Spanish school based in Medellín, Colombia, offering personalized Spanish lessons for learners who want to communicate naturally and confidently in Spanish.
Our Teaching Approach
We believe Spanish lessons should be useful, engaging, and adapted to the person learning the language.
We combine conversation, listening, grammar, reading, writing, active error correction, and interactive materials to help students develop practical communication skills. When appropriate, we also use homework to reinforce what students learn in class.
Most importantly, we take the time to understand each student’s goals, interests, and learning preferences so we can adapt lessons to what they actually need.
Meet the founder
As the founder of Spanish Learning Journey, I wanted to create a Spanish school where learning the language feels personal, practical, and connected to real life.
I’m Victoria Buesaquillo, a Spanish teacher from Medellín with over eight years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students from different countries, backgrounds, and learning goals. Their experiences have shaped the way I teach and the kind of learning environment I want to create at Spanish Learning Journey.
I believe learning Spanish is about more than mastering grammar and vocabulary. It’s about feeling comfortable having a conversation, understanding the people around you, and becoming part of the Spanish-speaking world.
Today, I’m proud to work with a team of experienced teachers who share that approach and help our students build a meaningful connection with Spanish and Latin American culture.
